Petition for Tuition Refund

Minneapolis College Policy 5.09 allows you to petition for a waiver of tuition and fees if you experience an unforeseen and significant circumstance that requires withdrawal from all your courses. 

 

Top 5 things to remember:

  1. Not all bills can be waived - this process only covers tuition and fees

  2. This policy does not remove "W" grades from your transcript

  3. There are academic and financial aid consequences to this process - please check with a college employee if concerned about your completion rate, transcript or financial aid eligibility

  4. If your tuition and fees were paid by someone else (including financial aid grants) any eligible refund may go back to the payment source.

  5. There is a deadline - submit your request by July 1st of the petitioned school year
