Registration alert hold (0169)

A Registration Alert hold is a temporary hold placed on a student’s account to protect their record against fraudulent activity. Students who have an active 0169 hold on their account will not be able to register for courses until they have verified their identity in person.

How do I resolve this hold?

To have this hold removed, you must take the following steps to verify your identity:

1. Go to Minneapolis College Student Services (T2100).  

2. At the check-in kiosk, select Student Records.

3. When called, request to have the hold removed. You will need to provide valid government-issued identification.

What if I am not able to appear in person to verify my identity?

Please send an email records.office@minneapolis.edu and provide your name, StarID, and contact information. A member of staff will respond to your request within 2-3 business days.
