Management Education Center Utilizing the TV and Kramer VIA
For Huddle and Breakout Rooms
Controlling the TV, Selecting Sources and Adjusting Volumes
To turn on the TV, locate the Extron panel beside the TV on the wall.
Press the “On” button, it can take a few seconds for the TV to respond and turn on.
Select the Source you want to use:
HDMI 1 – The wall-plate HDMI port underneath the TV.
HDMI 2 – The Kramer VIA presentation device installed in the room.
The volume buttons on the Extron panel will adjust the volume of the Soundbar or TV depending on the room configuration, you can adjust the volume to your preference.
Please note, playing audio at high volumes in enclosed spaces can lead to hearing damage
To connect to Kramer VIA
Kramer VIAs can be connected via Miracast or Apple AirPlay.
You must be connected to MPLS-Secure or eduroam to access the VIAs.
Two devices per cast method can connect to the Kramer VIA at once for a total of 4 connected devices.
To connect to the Kramer VIA, switch the source to HDMI 2 and wait for the VIA splash screen to show up on the TV.
Identify the Room on the upper right-hand corner of the screen, open your device’s wireless screen sharing function.
On Android devices, open the Screen Sharing setting on your device and search for the Room.
On Apple devices, open the AirPlay menu and search for the Room.
On Windows devices, open the Cast menu with Windows + K and search for the Room.
When attempting to connect, a 4-digit code will appear in the center of the screen, enter this code on your device within 30 seconds
Once connected, your screen and audio will be transmitted wirelessly.
