Create a Desktop Shortcut

  1. Click on the Start Menu and locate the program or application


    For an example we will choose Microsoft Word



  2. Right click on the application you want to create a desktop shortcut for, click More and then Open File Location




  3. A dialog box will appear with a list of applications, locate the application and right click, choose Send to > Desktop create shortcut






  4. The icon should now appear on your desktop
