Logging into email using Outlook Web app in a browser
Employees can access their college email through a browser for access off campus instead of using the Outlook desktop client installed on campus machines. The Outlook Web App is part of the Office 365 suite.
Use your Microsoft 365 log in credentials for all Microsoft 365 applications
Microsoft 365 Log In
Go to outlook.office.com
Username: StarID@minnstate.edu (this is not your email address)
Password: StarID password
Authenticate log in using MFA
Email Address format: firstname.lastname@minneapolis.edu or firstname.lastname.2@minneapolis.edu (you cannot use this to sign-in to your account)
View your email address at - myaccount.microsoft.com
If you are unable to log in, try resetting your StarID password on the StarID Self Service site. It can take up to 4 hours for a password change to work with your email.
You cannot reset your email password on the Microsoft page. You must use StarID Self Service.
Signing into email from the Minneapolis College webpage
Navigate to the Minneapolis College Homepage.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and under the Information For sections
Go to Employee Links.
Choose Employee email from the list
Sign in
Username: your StarID@minnstate.edu
Password: StarID password

Troubleshooting your email log in
It can take up to 4 hours for your password change to take effect with your email. To verify your new password is working, log into eServices. If you can log into eServices after a password reset, your email should work within 4 hours. If you are unable to access your employee email, it is recommended you change your StarID password at starid.minnstate.edu. You cannot reset your email password from the Microsoft page.
The "Can't access your account" link is not enabled for minnstate.edu accounts. You will need to reset your StarID password at the StarID Self Service Site at starid.minnstate.edu.
If you are having trouble logging in or with the page loading, try clearing your browser history including your cache, or try using a different browser.
