  1. Lock your computer when you walk away, even for a brief moment   
    Note: Windows key + L is the keyboard shortcut to lock your PC  


  2. Never share your passwords with anyone, even if you know and trust this person 


  3. Never write your password down where other people will be able to see it 


  4. If you receive a pop up that asks you to call a number for support, saying your computer is locked, contact campus IT right away. 


  5. Never click on links or open attachments from strange emails from people you do not know
