Classroom Technology Instructions (Detailed Steps)

Instructor Station:

• Extron touchscreen Audio Visual Controller

• Ceiling-mounted Digital Camera (not available in all classrooms)

  • This camera has a wide-angle lens that captures the whole front of the room, therefore it does not need to rotate

• Ceiling-mounted Speakers

This is a basic guide to using the Extron Controller touchscreen

Turn on Extron > Press to begin

Open

Select a Video Source

Select a Video Destination – where you want the video to be shown

PC Display 1 > Select Projector

Open

Laptop > Select Projector

Doc Cam > Select Projector or Display 1 (TV monitor)

Display Control:

Select Display > Options: On, Off or Mute

Audio Controls:

Select Audio > use slider for level control

Options for Audio Controls: Slider for volume level and mute

Computer-Based Audio Selection:

Select Audio > Select playback device options

Ceiling-mounted Digital Camera:

Digital camera can be viewed by opening the Camera application

Start Menu >   Camera

 Turn off Extron touchscreen Audio Visual Controller:

Select  > Power Down
