WiFi - Guest Wireless Access

Guests can connect to the Minneapolis College guest network MPLS-Guest on personal devices.

If you have an active StarID and are a current student or employee at a Minnesota State College or University, connect to the network called eduroam. Instructions for connecting to eduroam

Instructions

Create an account to gain guest access to the network for 24 hours. 

Guests (this is for people who do not have a StarID)

  1. To access the list of available wireless networks, click or tap on the network icon on your device.
    Choose MPLS-Guest from the list and Connect.




    Your browser should automatically open a page to the Guest Portal. 
    If the page does not auto launch, try opening your browser and going to any website, this should force the portal page to load.


  2. Click on Don't have an account? to register for access to the guest network.
    Note: If you have an event reservation and were provided event log in credentials, please log in using the provided username and password. 




  3. Fill in the required fields.
    Required fields are indicated with an asterisk symbol *
    Note: A username cannot be used more than once in a 6 month time span




  4. The username you chose and a pre-populated password will be displayed.
    Click in to be connected to the Guest-WiFi network.
    Note: The username and password is auto saved will reconnect your device for up to 24 hours after creating an account.
    Create new accounts as needed using the steps above, usernames cannot repeated. 





  5. Review the Acceptable Use Policy and click Accept and Continue 






  6. Success! You are connected to the Minneapolis College Guest WiFi.
