Software Center Self Installs on Windows Windows 10

The Software Center on Campus Devices running Windows 10 enable Employees to install available software at their own convenience without requiring Administrator credentials.

To request software not available in the Software Center, please submit a Technology Request.

Instructions

  1. Open the Windows start menu on the bottom left of your screen;




  2. Select the Software Center from the app list on the left, it will be under the IT section;




  3. Once open, you should see several applications available to install from the main menu;




  4. Select the software you wish to install, for the purpose of this guide we’ve chosen Audacity;




    Select Install;




    Some software can longer to install than others depending on your internet speed, and some software may require you to restart your computer in order to function properly. Please keep this in mind when choosing to install software.

Additional Information

You can view currently installed software, and view the progress of software being installed by selecting Installation status on the left Sidebar;
