Zoom - Launch and sign in from the desktop

This Article explains how to Sign Into Zoom utilizing your StarID account,

If you do not have Zoom installed on your personal device, you can utilize the web portal at minnstate.zoom.us or install the web app.

Campus supplied devices typically have Zoom pre-installed, however you can install through the software center.

Instructions

1. Launch Zoom from the Desktop, or through the Start Menu. Once launched select Sign In.
   
   
   

   Open

   

   
   
   

2. Select the Sign In with SSO option:
   
   

   Open

   

    

3. Once selected, enter minnstate as the Company Domain and Continue
   
   

   
   
   

4. On the StarID Sign in page, enter your information to sign onto Zoom:
   
   
   

   
   
   

5. Once you sign in, it will redirect to the minnstate.zoom.us website and prompt to open Zoom on your desktop, it may display a pop-up box:
   
   
   

   
   
   Select the checkbox for “Always allow minnstate.zoom.us to open links of this type in the associated app”, this will prevent the message box from appearing in the future.
   
   
   

6. Once open, Zoom will automatically sign into your MinnState Zoom account, from there you can either host or join a Zoom Meeting:
