Current students and employees that have an active email address at a Minnesota State College such as Minneapolis College can install for free the full Office 365 suite on up to 5 personal devices using their college email username and password.

Office 365 includes the web app versions and desktop client versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Access, Publisher, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive for Business.

If you have Office installed on your computer already, you can simply sign-in to activate the subscription. 

Instructions

  1. Go to office.com and sign in.
    Students: StarID@go.minnstate.edu and StarID password
    Employees StarID@minnstate.edu and StarID password


  2. Install Office should be located in the upper right corner

  3. Once Office is installed, launch one of the applications such as Word or Excel and activate the software.
    Click Sign in in the top right corner
